Public Relations Intern at FINN Partners - London
Through my study abroad program I was able to find an internship in the financial distract of London, working at one of the fastest growing public relations firms in the world. Under the ZPR team I was focused in consumer public relations where I gained experience in different creative strategies from digital landscape to journalism where I picked up on many technical skills. My summer internship and study abroad experience was a great opportunity for me to grow and adapt to a different culture that I easily integrated into.

My Role
As a public relations intern at FINN Partners in London's financial district, I had the privilege of working with high profile clients such as 2K Games, Waitrose, Wagamama, Lakeland and Hobbycraft. Immersing myself in a new culture and understanding of diverse publics proved a challenge at first. However, these experiences forced my writing skills to adjust to new publics as well as honing my ability to adapt quickly and communicate effectively.

Client Collaboration:
I worked very closely with clients on several projects—most noticeably, in the delivery of public relations campaigns that were focused in fulfilling each organizations individual needs. This involved understanding diverse industries and adapting strategies to meet specific client objectives.
Visual Brand Enhancement:
My design skills on Canva helped in designing lookbooks and product flashes with great brand visibility and brand appeal. These were powerful tools of communicating some of the major client messages to their target audiences.
Copywriting:
A crucial part of the work was to craft copy for client material, press releases, and promotional events. I needed to perfect my writing skills in order to engagingly and persuasively express the essence of the content that would speak to the target audience in all forms of media.
Client Interaction:
I took part in strategic discussions and brainstorming sessions during client meetings. Involvement in such helped in making client relationships closer and ensuring tightness of the campaigns with client expectations. My experience at FINN Partners gave me hands-on exposure to the multifaceted world of public relations, in which I made meaningful contributions to high-profile clients' success while developing my skills of adaptability and communication in a fast-paced environment.
